I tried designing a CRM with only two screens

The constraint: build a working CRM that never shows the user more than two screens.

CRMs sprawl because every team bolts on the view they need and nobody ever removes one. I wanted to know what survives when you cannot add a screen — only sharpen the two you have. A list, and a thing. That was the entire information architecture.

Constraints are a feature

Forcing everything into two screens killed a dozen features nobody missed and surfaced the three that actually mattered. The list became the dashboard; the detail view became the workspace. It will not fit every sales org, but it made me question how many screens in my other products exist only because deleting them felt harder than keeping them.
